About this project

How deep does this mystery get? How far down into the depths can these two brave folks go?

This game was developed for COM 217 - Entertainment Software Design during Fall 2018. We used Unity to create the game and tested and presented it on the touch-screen visualization wall in Shain Library, allowing for robust touch screen game play. Our team's wide variety of skills and collective experience with programming, art, and video games has allowed us to create a fun and polished gaming experience.

Team Members

Dylan Granger

Project Manager

dgranger@conncoll.edu

Dylan was the primary designer of the weapon and power up systems, as well as the UI elements for these systems. His other work included contribution to game balance testing, enemy pattern design, and debugging and polishing for all aspects of the game's code.

Luke Karis

Main Programmer

lkaris@conncoll.edu

Luke worked extensively on the code for the game. He created different systems such as enemy patterns and generation. In addition, he helped other team members when they were having problems with their code and often acted as a tester making sure everything was running smoothly. He also helped come up with the games backstory and implemented the code to make the story come to life.

Elijah focused on programming for the battle versus the Jelly Fish Boss and the oil leak. This work included movement, enemy spawns, and unique energy weapon attacks. He also implemented the title screen and game over screen, with multiple options within the two screens. Additionally, he created the player statistics tracker.
